just for laughs

What is God whispering into your heart?  Would you like to hear other bloggy friend’s thoughts on the same subject?  Please go to What’s on Your Mind to offer new topics.

Our next What’s on Your Mind topic is writing without using BE verbs.  Tomorrow, I will take a paragraph and point out all the BE verbs as an example.

Now, on to the laughs…

On Monday’s post, I promised that I would take a look at past pictures and decide which hair cut was the worst.  So, I offer you these past school pictures.  Please let me know which you think is the worst Dorthy Hamill haircut in the comment section below!

Oh, I love the Dorothy Hamil! I have such fond memories of it!

  3. 3 Tammy January 28, 2009 at 11:17 pm

Those are bad haircuts! I love the pigtails! I wish I could find you a photo of MY bad haircut I had to get the summer our A/C died in the HOT HUMID south!

  4. 4 Muthering Heights January 28, 2009 at 11:48 pm

I think you were so cute…I love the pigtails in the one on the left!

Okay Shane, how can you expects us to look at those pictures and pick a bad one. You are too cute. But I have to say I’m partial to the ponytails myself.

Wow, I don’t know how your stylist was able to give you such HUGE bangs! You look super cute with the pigtails though! Thanks for sharing these.

  7. 7 Cheri January 29, 2009 at 2:29 am

Very cute. I had both hairstyles, too!!!

  8. 8 Jerri January 29, 2009 at 8:28 am

Both pictures are adorable, but I’m partial to pigtails myself. I think they’re adorable! I always put my girls hair in piggies when they were little.

Shane – You were sooo cute! You would have looked cute in any haircut. I agree though your bangs started at almost the top of your head:) My sister has the worst story of a haircut. My mom did it and afterwards everyone called her a he!

  10. 10 Blue Castle January 29, 2009 at 9:00 am

I love your pigtails, so I’d probably say the short cut was the worst. Still, really, not that bad. :)

  11. 11 Joy January 29, 2009 at 9:07 am

Pigtails are my favourite! When I was a little girl I used to put a blanket over my head and tie it in “pigtails” on either side of my head and imagine I had long, blonde hair! I had more the “pixie” look growing up!

    You’re adorable!

Those are sweet. You should see my bowl cut from kindergarten.

  13. 13 Bahama Shores Mama January 29, 2009 at 10:45 am

Come on……..neither seem THAT bad. It seems like from some of the other commenters we may need to do a

WORST HAIR AS A CHILD contest.

    I’d be a shoe in.

PS: I’m going with loving the pigtails…….but the bangs? Not so much.

  14. 14 World's Greatest Mommy January 29, 2009 at 10:56 am

I think they are both adorable. Especially love the pigtails!

  15. 15 Upstatemomof3 January 29, 2009 at 11:47 am

I totally love the pig tails. But then I am a long hair girl myself. :)

  16. 16 Theresa January 29, 2009 at 12:45 pm

I am totally feeling the pig tails. How sweet you look!!

  17. 17 elaine @ peace for the journey January 29, 2009 at 2:22 pm

There isn’t a worse! You are precious in both. Now the teenage years photographs might have given us something to talk about. Mine are horrible!

Oh, Shane, I can’t say which of those is “bad” because the face is so adorable! *grin*

As for next week’s What’s on Your Mind – you’re taking me back to college. I once had to write a whole paper without using “be.” That was hard! I’ll try to psych myself up for another challenge.

  19. 19 Veronica January 29, 2009 at 4:39 pm

    Love the ponytails! Adorable :)

  20. 20 Lisa January 29, 2009 at 5:38 pm

You looked cute with either haircut.

  21. 21 Mom January 29, 2009 at 6:09 pm

That’s my girl…adorable at any age!

  22. 22 franticallysimple January 29, 2009 at 9:42 pm

They are both cute! You should have seen my sun-in sprayed orangey permed mullet. Permed and cut by me mom.

SO CUTE! I think your mom is awesome! Now, if you laid down some teen pictures things might really get dicey. :)
